There are so many benefits to taking a course or day event.  But lets focus on one thing right now – the benefits of meditating in a group.

Benefits of Group Meditation: 

Meditating regularly with a group provides you with quality time and an undistracted space to practise – where there are no children, phones or conflicting demands on your time.  Also, a supportive environment and people can motivate you to practise more on your own.

The positive energy felt in group meditation can be very uplifting and nurturing.  Surrounding myself with positive influences has lead to my most significant growth.  I am continuously learning from my teachers, mentors, friends and my students.

As well, sharing experiences fosters union, understanding, confidence and growth.  I do caution people about comparing or trying to achieve what others have experienced – as we are all on an individual journey.  However, sharing our experiences helps us to learn more about ourselves and to openly give to others.  There is so much to learn about meditation and our own minds that it is impossible to figure it all out on our own.
